While Caroline can do without things like heat rash and sun burn, she will this change a little bit of credit when it comes to certain things. The fact that suddenly the world seemed to on for forever was definitely one such plus. Not that she had had hated the whole tropical island vibe, but there was only so long endless stretches of water could be pretty without making her feel a bit claustrophobic.
This was different. The sky seemed bluer, more breathtaking in a way that Caroline could admire. It didn't hurt that the clothes were less confining than they had been during December. There was more room for her to make them her own, even if it was kind of slow work given that she was working at it by hand. Dressed in a long skirt and a blouse, her hat had blown off and was hanging by a cord around her neck. When she had set out earlier she hadn't really had much of a destination in mind. It was one of those 'it's the journey that counts' moments, except not at all really. She wasn't certain what it was.
There was a flash of lightning off on the horizon, the gathering clouds rumbling and threatening to bring sudden rain. Yet another change that she could get behind: the weather (or that kind of weather). Coming to stop, she sighed feeling strangely content as she watched the storm start to roll in.
"It's lovely, isn't it?" she said to the person she heard approaching from behind her, the tell-tale crunch of boots on sand and dry earth giving them away. Turning to see who it was, she smiled at Tyler. "Hey."
