Everyone always leaves her.

It might be a little melodramatic, but that was what it felt like. It felt like everyone she loved, everyone she wanted to stay always bailed or died or vanished. Of course there were the few exceptions, but most of them weren't here so they barely counted. She was the discard, the one who got stuck out in the cold while everyone moved on.

Losing Matt had been bad, but somehow losing Tyler felt worse. Maybe it had been how they met or what they'd see or lived through or whatever, but Tyler had been different. Maybe it was just something shallow, like the fact that he grew up in a world so not like Mystic Falls thinking about it made her head hurt. No matter what the reasons were, it was all pointless. He was gone.

So it begged the question: how long until she was the only one left?

Dragging herself out of her bed, she sought out comfort in those that she knew were still around: Elvis and Bela. The dog provided the simply kind of comfort, the sweet 'always going to love you' kind. Elvis was a different story. He could be a completely infuriating grouch, but at least he was a grouch who was still here. Right now she was willing to take it.

Her hair was pulled back in a messy bun, the blue flannel shirt she was wearing was misbuttoned but she frankly didn't care. Her resolve was weakening with every step she took, her strong façade slowly ebbing away until she had folded her arms across her chest as she stood in front of his hut.

"Elvis? Elvis please be home."
